ONGOING—since June 2016: Wild Wire Birds, Graton Gallery, Sculpture Garden--Art Destination in the heart of west Sonoma County Wine Country. Featuring large action-attitudes ravens, 5'-4', steel with natural rust patina. Hours: Tue-Sat 10:30-5, Sun 10:30-4.
ONGOING—Since Fall 2016: "Jonqui Wild Wire Cranes--Flying Sculptures" Represent by Nora Art & Design, Studio Showcase: Several big original sculpture available for sale or commission: painted steel with copper crowns, approximate 6' each for sale or commission. Sept 2014-June 2016 Big Wild Wire Birds flying sculptures at Artefact Design and Salvage showroom and store, Cornerstone, Sonoma. Large steel wire pieces, 3'- 5' wingspan each. All are hand formed by Artist, Jonqui Albin, using her self-invented mesh-molding method.

Sept 9-Nov 11—"Wild Wire Cranes" Aerial Installation Exhibit, Gualala Arts Center, Elaine Jacob Foyer: Exhibit won by proposal. These large flying sculptures were inspired by Artist, Jonqui Albin's 2016 live, in-habitat* observation drawing and sculpting experience without photos. In keeping with Jonqui's Bird Arting Programs, their mission is: connecting people to the Spirit of Nature through Bird Arting. The Crane Collection is intended to be a kind of poetry, suggesting a way to see and feel theses big bird's power, grace and emotion and to maybe experience their timeless tradition of devotion, co-operation and long-life. Gualala Arts serves Sea Ranch and coastal communities of Northern Sonoma and Southern Mendocino Counties; 46501 Old State Highway, Gualala, CA 95445. *Jonqui's Sandhill Cranes in-habitat studies including 3D wire sculpture sketches, were done dawn to dusk several weekends during Spring migration in early 2016, primarily in Woodbridge Ecological Reserve at Lodi, California and on the San Francisco Bay Delta.

Sept 13-24—"Celebrating Sonoma County" Group Art Show at Windsor, Sonoma Country Library—Jonqui Albin--Works shown are Never-before-shown Big Live Jazz and Event Performance Paintings and Wild Wire Crow sculpture. This was Artist, Jonqui's 3rd, Friends of the Library invitational show at 3 Sonoma County Libraries in a year. OCT 17—John Natsoulas Center for the Arts--8th ANNUAL DAVIS JAZZ BEAT FESTIVAL: Jonqui Albin's 7th year as featured performance painter, Main Stage, 2 sets, "Wild Jazz Birds". Since the 1980s the John Natsoulas Center for the Arts continues to celebrate the spirit of collaboration and creativity that flourished in California during the 1950's and 1960's. The Davis Jazz Artist Festival is dedicated to bringing music and the visual arts together at one place and one time.
OCT 2-20—Invitational, Guerneville Library Gallery Art Exhibit of Live Rescue Raptor Collaboration--Action Paintings from October 2nd event and opening reception. Paintings 9'X12' acrylic on heavy art paper.
OCT 2—Invitational, Guerneville Library Gallery, Rescue Raptors & Jonqui Collaboration—Action Painting Performance at Gallery Art Show Reception and 1st Friday Art Walk Party. A Bird Arting, bird appreciation event. The resulting video is to be used for schools and events in 2016. Event artwork was displayed in the Library thru October 20.
SEPT 20—NATURE FESTIVAL—WILD WIRE BIRDS, Flying Sculptures and Demos. Held at historic Sonoma Barracks on the Sonoma Plaza to Celebrate Nature! Over 50 Northern California nature organizations plus distinguished nature artists, musicians and Native American organizations. Plus, sales and demos by ten world class optics manufacturers of binoculars and spotting scopes. A partnership event with SonomaBirding.com and Sonoma State Parks.

APR 27-Santa Rosa Bird Rescue Center, CA--Performed as roving Raptor Portrait Minstrel for Festival of Feathers fundraiser. 100% donation to the Center. Live drawn portraits where donated as a gift to BR Donors that day.

Habitat sketching was at Goat Rock Jenner Beach. Birds: Gulls, Cormorants , Loons and ducks. Claimed sightings of a single Golden Eagle or Hawk over distant high cliffs.
